A $1500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a date for your wedding. The full estimated total for everything (except host bar) is due 30 days prior to event date. All deposits are deducted
from the final invoice. Any outstanding balances are due at check-out. (50% due 3 months prior)
Minimum requirements for exclusive use of the Dining Room and Lounge on Food & Beverage
and Guest Rooms for Saturday events, June through October.
In order to have music after 11pm on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, in the lounge or dining room, all 12 rooms in the Woollen Mill must be booked with the group. (5 classic rooms, 3 country rooms and 4 ivey rooms)
On-site Wedding Guest room blocks will receive a preferred and discounted room rate with a
minimum of 12 guaranteed rooms. The block will be held until 6 weeks prior to the event date, at
which time, any rooms held without a guarantee (credit card or deposit), will be released.
Guest attendance must be guaranteed 2 weeks prior to the event date. Total number of guests must not decrease more than 20% from the original contracted number. All food & beverage decisions should be made 3 months prior to event date.
Cancellation of a confirmed function, any time prior to the function date, will result in the forfeit
of any and all deposits paid to date.
With the exception of wedding cakes, cupcakes or donuts and edible favours, no other food items
are to be brought into the Benmiller dining room and lounge.
All prices are subject to 13% HST. Wedding Packages and food & beverage are subject to 17%
gratuity and 13% HST. As per the CRA, HST will be charged on gratuities where gratuities are
Tastings are complimentary with any wedding bookings with a guest count over 70, and will
include one plate of each entrée selection and one dessert. Salads, hors d’oeuvres and platters are
not available for tastings. For smaller group bookings, a discounted tasting can be arranged.
Minimal storage space is available and must be pre-arranged.
Excessive cleanup of any venue spaces used by the group may result in a cleanup fee charged to
the final invoice.
All indoor spaces, the patio, outdoor common areas, guest rooms and in front of entrances and
exits, are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas.
In accordance with Ontario Law & Smart Serve best practices the following are the enforced house policies for our Bar Service to ensure a safe environment for you and your guests:
last drinks are served at 12:30am
absolutely no outside alcohol (not purchased at BMI) are permitted in and around any
building and the property (with the exception of registered guest rooms)
no doubles will be served
guest may order a maximum of two drinks at any one time
shooters will not be served after11pm. (Please note package bars do not included shooters)
if any guest becomes intoxicated or unruly, the guest will be asked to leave and the bar may
be shut down
a $200 Bartender fee will be applied to any events that select a cash bar for the duration of
a $75 licensing fee will be added when using the Hollow for receptions and a limited host
bar is a requirement.
When multiple plated pre-ordered options are offered, a floor plan indicating per table the total
number of each selection as well as a symbol indicating the selections at each seat is required to
aid serving your guests efficiently and professionally
Fireworks are only permitted when it has been pre-arranged, you are using a registered and
certified pyrotechnic. Must take place at the look-out and be before midnight. All rooms in the
River Mill, Mill House & Gledhill must be booked by your guests.
Releasing of fire lanterns or helium balloons and throwing rice or confetti is strictly prohibited due to the negative environmental effects and hazards.
No clinking of glassware. A different method to get the newlyweds to kiss must be conveyed to
your guests at the start of dinner.
